Solar System of the Earth. Geography. UPSC.

Solar System

The sun, nine planets, satellite, asteroid and meteroid forms the Solar System.

The universe

The universe is where all the galaxies exist. There are million of galaxies available with our galaxies.

Galaxy

Galaxy is where our Solar system exist. The all our Solar system's product or things exist into the Galaxy. The name of our Galaxy is Milky way.

Planet

There are many planets into our Solar system. Like: Mercury l, venus, Earth, Marsh, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Note: Goldie Lock Zone is where Life is possible. Earth is known by this Name.

Note: Pluto planet is known as dwarf planet, because it was cutting path of neighbor planet. It was out of criteria of a planet. So in 2006 this planet is being dropped, and does not be count into numbers of planet.

Terrestrial Planet:

The planet which density is high and made by rocks is called Terrestrial Planet. Size of this planet are small. Mercury, Venus, earth, and Mars are example of this Terrestrial Planet.

Asteroid Belt:

Small particle of rocks between Mars and Jupiter, which revolution around sun within electrical path is called Asteroid Belt. These small particle of belt is engaged with each other and it has fixed electrical path to revolves The sun. It always lies between Mars and Jupiter.

Gaseous or Jovian Planet:

The planet which is made by gasses is called Jovian Planet. These planets are made by hydrogen and helium with a small Rocky core. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are example of Jovian or Gaseous Planet.

Note: Earth rotate on it's axis in 24 hours and it takes 365 days 6 hour in revolution of around sun in one times.

Note: biggest size of planet is Jupiter and smallest size of planet is Mercury.

Now here is all information about every Planet into the Solar System -

1 The Sun

✓ sun is in the centre of Solar System.
✓ It is made up of extremely hot gasses.
✓ it generate heats on Fusion Method.
✓ The sun is about 150 million kilometers away from the earth.
✓ the reason of heat of sun is converting hydrogen into helium.

All planets are:

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn Uranus and Neptune.
Venus is the brightest planet into Solar system.

Earth:

✓ It is the 3rd nearest planet to the sun, and fifth largest planet of our Solar System.
✓ The Earth is Unique planet because it supports life.
✓ there is sub planet of Earth. That is Moon. Moon takes 27 days to complete a revolution of Earth in one time.
✓ This is also called a Blue Planet. Because more than 70 percent of it's body is filled with water.
✓ The shape of the Earth is Geoid.

Mercury:

✓ it is nearest planet to the sun and geologically inactive since billions of years, because atmosphere is not present on this planet.
✓ This planet is second most brightest object in Solar system.
✓ Temperature of this planet are -173°C to 427°C respectively at night and day.

Venus:

✓ This planet is second nearest planet to the sun.
✓ it is also known as twin planet of the Earth.
✓ there are 97 percent of it's gasses are carbon dioxide.
✓ Sulfuric acid present on this planet. This is the reason of its reflection in very high amount.
✓ this planet is brightest planet in Solar System
✓ This planet is hottest planet.
✓ the density of the atmosphere of this planet is 92 multiple times of earth.
✓Venus has high Albedo. Albedo is known to measure the reflection power from 0-1.

Note: There is only two planets, who rotates into clockwise, Venus and Uranus.

Mars:

✓ it is known as red planet, because reddish iron oxide is present in this planet.
✓ it has two natural satellite : Phobos and Deimos.
✓ Olympus is a volcano and higher mountain in Solar System. The height of this mountain is about 24 km.

The Moon:

✓It is only satellite of the Earth.
✓ The diameter of this satellite is about one quarter of the Earth.
✓It is about 3,84,400 km away from Earth.
✓ it moves around the Earth is about 27 days.
✓ only one side of the Moon is visible to Earth.
✓ No life is possible on moon, because there is no water nor air.

Note: when Moon becomes visible with it's full size is called Full Moon.

Note: when moon does not visible to us due to it present back side of Earth is called New Moon. It happens on the fifteen night of the Full Moon.

Asteroid:

✓ they are numerous tiny bodies which moves around the sun in fixed electrical path between the orbit of Mars and Jupiter.
✓ The largest Asteroid is Ceres.

Meteoroids:

✓ the small piece of rocks, who moves around the sun are called Meteoroids. These doesn't have fixed electrical path, so these can moves anywhere into the Galaxy.
✓ When it enters into atmosphere, it is known by Meteor.
✓ when it enters into Mesosphere, it burns because of high friction force. We also say it brocken star.
✓ the remaining parts of thos Meteor reached at the Earth surface, then it is known as Meteorites.

Comets:

It is ice body into the galaxy. When it reach near the sun, it vapourised and generate a tale like structure. This structure is made because, it releases gases near the sun.

Constellation:

An imaginary figure of arrangement of stars is called Constellation. There are many examples of Constellation like: Ursha minor, Libra, Scorpio etc.

Note: Pole star is a star always available into north direction. This star is also known as north star.

Celestial Bodies:

An object in the universe is said Celestial body. Example are sun, moon , star, Earth etc.

Star:

A Celestial body that is characterised by being very hot and very big. It is made of gasses. A star typically has its own heat and light. Sun is also a star.

Perihelion:

When Earth reaches nearest to the sun is called Perihelion.
The distance of this is 147.1 million km.
It happens on the 3rd january.

Aphelion:

When Earth reaches it's maximum distance from sun is called Aphelion. It happens on 4th July and the distance between Earth and sun during it is 152.1 million km. from the Earth.

Inner Planet:

The planet exist between sun and Asteroid beltis known as Inner Planet. Mercury, Venus, Earth and Sun are example of Inner Planet.

Outer Planet:

The orbit of Planet beyond the Asteroid Belt is called Outer Planet. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune is known as Outer Planet.

Note: There is only one Universe and everything that exist in this Universe itself.

Note: the largest moon is Ganymede. It is the satellite of Jupiter.
The second most larger Moon is Titans. It is the satellite of Saturn.
These moons are bigger than Mercury.

So it was the complete information about our Solar System. Hope you got all things. There is another part of Geography which must be known by you. So follow this article by clicking bell icon.
