What is Cybernetic organism?
A self regulated organism that contains a combination of natural and artificial components. If I could make you understand easily, it is a machine, which helps to control your parts of body by computerized or by mechanical way.
This term was coined in 1960 by Manfred Clynes and Nathan S. Kilne as 'Man Machine System' .
Project cyborg 1.0 :
Here you can easily understand this.
✓ professor Kevin Warwick underwent a operation to sergically implant a silicon chip transponder in his fore arm.
✓ One hundred electron array was sergically implanted into the median nerves fibres of the left arm of professor Kevin Warwick.
✓ By the means of implant, Warwick nerves system was connected onto the internet in Columbia University and he was able to control the robotic arm in the University of Reading.
The Neil Harbisson case :
In 2004, Neil Harbisson, an artist born with 'Achromatopsia' or extreme color-blindness.
He uses permanently attached an antina inside his skull.
He is the first human to be described as a cyborg by any government.
Why experiment is needed for it?
✓ to increase human computer interaction possibly to help people with defect to function optimally.
✓ Human has limited memory. So it can be used to enhance it by using external mechanical chip.
✓ to overcome serial transmission.
The practice of integrating technology with the human body is happening more often and beyond the medical field. Perhaps, setting the stage for the next chapter in human evolution.
Many researchers believe that we have already started down the path towards a Cyborg future.
After all, many of us already depends on bionic ears and eyes, insulin pumps technology and prosthetic to help us survive.
First Cyborg Olympic :
✓ In 2016, the first Cyborg Olympic was celebrated in Zurich Switzerland.
✓ 'Cybothlon' 2016 was the first Olympic for Cyborg and the first worldwide and official celebration of Cyborg sports.
✓ In this event, 16 teams of people with disabilities used technological development to turn themself into Cyborg athletics.
Elon Musk to develope Cyborg :
Space-X and Tesla's CEO Elon Musk is backing a brain computer interface venture called Neuralink.
✓ with Neuralink, Musk hopes to develop a Micron-Sized device to help link brain and machines. And treat brain injuries and theirs symptoms, such as Stroke, Paralysis and even memory loss in old age.
✓ His next Target is to create a way to connect people brains to each other. So they can communicate directly without having to rely on low bandwidth method like typing and talking.
Artificial Cerebellum:
✓ From Tel Aviv University in israel, Malti Mintz has developed the artificial Cerebellum, which sits on the outside of the skull and is weired to the brain using electrons.
✓ The chip mimics the Cerebellum, a small brain region, that plays an important role in motor control and movement.
✓ This demonstrates how far we have come towards creating circum that could one day replace damaged brain areas and even enhance the healthy brain power.
